Pandemic Relief Seminars
Knoxville College will be hosting a special five-week seminar titled “Pandemic Relief Seminars.” These special seminars will focus on managing your finances during the COVID-19 crisis with talks on finance, access to services, and personal budgeting.
Knoxville College is proud to partner with the United Way to create this program. We know this COVID-19 pandemic has affected a lot of lives and we hope this program will be a benefit to all who are able to join us. This will be the first of several events hosted by the college to spur change in the community through service.
The five-week event will be broadcast on November 4, November 10, November 18, November 24, and December 1, 2020 via Zoom and will be live-streamed on this page.

Speaker Biographies

Dr. Lindsey is a native of New York City, NY, who now resides in Knoxville, Tennessee. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from Oakwood University, an HBCU located in Huntsville, Alabama. He earned a Master of Public Health degree with a concentration in Health Administration from East Tennessee State University, located in Johnson City, TN. He earned his Doctor of Philosophy in Public Health from Walden University, located in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Dr. Lindsey has over 10 years of lecture experience in Public Health and Biology, the latter years being served at Knoxville College where he was an Adjunct Professor of Biology. In this role he taught General Biology, Microbiology, Anatomy and Physiology, Medical Terminology, Bioethics, Introduction to Public Health, and General Physiology. He has also served on the Knoxville College’s Committees for Curriculum and Academic Policy, Athletics, and Faculty Affairs.
Dr. Lindsey currently serves as Interim President of Knoxville College.

Dr. Ebony Bowers is a graduate of Walden University with a Ph.D. in Human Services with an emphasis in Family Studies and Intervention Strategies. She is currently serving as the Vice President of Academic Affairs and adjunct professor at Knoxville College in Knoxville TN.
